Safety issues with using blog sites

Security: if a person writes a status and it says “I’m going on holiday tomorrow yay” – then people will know you’re away so they could come to your house and rob you.

Also when using Facebook, twitter, MySpace or any other websites you should only press accept to friend requests if you know them, because most young girls get pedo’s.

When using MySpace, twitter, Facebook always go on your privacy setting and turn off your location because pedo’s can find out the town you live in , what your house number is  and much more so always turn off your location, because they can track you down!

Also when using Facebook anyone can comment on your photos, so be aware if you get any haters commenting “slut” or something other than this.

Cyber bulling can hurt children’s feelings because they are pretty much bullying them but on Facebook by sending them messages posting on their wall’s-(profile), most of them might comment on your work if you do a blog on posterous, MySpace, twitter they could comment saying “this is crap”, and also sending you nasty messages saying “I’m going to find you and kill you”  “I’m going to smash you after school”.

Phishing: - the act of sending an email to a user falsely claims to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.   
the precautions you could get are that these people could track you down find your address even more so never put your address in anything that looks dodgy and also make it clear with your parents hat your typing your address into.

i think that blogger is an effective page to communication is that it will help people to save paper, and this will lower on cutting down trees in the woods and you can get a feedback on your work if you are not at school and you could check at home on your internet , and its easier  to type instead of writing on paper and using ink , we are not  printing anything out ,  so it  is saved on your blogger so you are not wasting any ink, and also you can get feedback on your work fromy our teachers from school all you need is internet access, make sure on oyur internet access that you have a passcode/word to access the internet because if your internet is open then others around your area could go onto your internet and change settings, and find information where you live and also alot more so have  a  PASSWORD/PASSCODE!
